HEY! If you see this the first link the the intentional trip (the one ABOVE the photo) works great. not sure what happened to the other two. they are all fixed now! sorry about that.
Father of the Bride! I’ve successfully passed along my love for it to my daughters and found my old dvd and now they love to watch it on roadtrips and I get to happily listen along 😊
Mine are 6 & 8! I think the grown up talk goes over their heads and like you’ve talked about before I’d rather watch a good movie than another kid movie 🤣
Movies we watch when we want to clear our brains...Legally Blonde, Shawshank Redemption, Mrs. Doubtfire, Forrest Gump, Clueless, Ferris Bueller, It Could Happen to You, Big, just to name a few! Our family (all grown with their own children) still quotes movie lines to each other all the time.
Thank you, Kate, Nate, and all on the team, for your ideas and info. My daughter in law just finished your book and absolutely loved it(I get it next😊) plus my daughter just bought one for her and a friend, so they can discuss and read together.
Wishing you continued faithfulness to all good things🩷🙏🏻
I'll always stop to watch Ever After or Apollo 13. Also strangely enough, I love the show Bones as background for my day. Not exactly relaxing but aside from a few specific episodes it's a wonderful background for chores or embroidery!
How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days is my go to! When my husband was out of town last month, I put the kids to bed early, changed into my comfiest pjs and watched in bed. It was magical!
YES!! My brain has been craving the familiar as well! For me it's books that I turn to. I have found myself re-reading books lately because they are comforting and familiar. I don't need the drama or suspense of what's going to happen when I turn the page. I need to revisit the characters that became friends and know that there is an ending that I love coming in the last chapter!
Gosh. The movie thing is real! I used to watch the Devil Wears Prada all the time in college when I was stressed or homesick. Thinking back it must have been the predictability that I craved! These days I usually don’t feel like I have the mental capacity to watch new shows… off I go to find a comfort movie! You’ve Got Mail is probably my fav
Ever After or Practical Magic. Something about Drew Barrymore as Cinderella is comforting and the music in Practical Magic just feels cozy even if the plot line has some darkness. Have you seen it? I know those types of movies can be a bit much for you.
There is a movie with Meryl Streep called "Its Complicated" - my mom (RIP 🤍) and I used to watch it and after reading this last night I did. I cannot thank you enough for the suggestion!! I laughed and cried at the same time and went to bed feeling 10 pounds lighter ♥️! Also, what a beautiful idea for the 10th bday!

All these + The Princess Bride!

hahaha my sister used to watch Bones and I find it terrifying so this makes me laugh!
The West Wing! It makes me so happy every time I rewatch it!
Meg Ryan movies for me! You've Got Mail and When Harry Met Sally are my go to's. I rewatch shows all the time. I'm currently rewatching The West Wing.
Love the things Nate found interesting! My son loves birds and can make a pretty mean Crow call. It's so amazing the talents God gives his people.

I could watch Meg Ryan in "You've Got Mail" and Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman" over and over!
And to be honest anytime one of these comes across my channels I stop and watch as if I have never seen them before!!!!
There’s something different when they come on cable. I agree!!

I was just thinking it is about to be YGM time!! Bouquets of freshly sharpened pencils...

I watched Pride & Prejudice throughout labor and that baby popped right out
