After initial reports that California's recently passed bill banned the sale of Skittles starting in 2027, Skittles fans everywhere breath a sign of relief after coloring agent and Skittles ingredient titanium dioxide was left off the final list of banned substances. Crisis averted (for now).

Charles Feeney passed away recently. You've probably never heard of him (we hadn't). But you should. Feeney got rich owning duty free stores (like at airports). And then spent most of his life giving away his $8 billion fortune, going to great lengths to keep most of his gifts secret. On why he didn't spend his vast fortune on more things: “You can only wear one pair of pants at a time,” he was fond of saying.
